  • 6 small triangles in a dark toned fabric
  • 6 small diamonds in a medium toned fabric
  • 6 small diamonds in a medium toned but contrasting fabric
  • 6 small diamonds and 6 small triangles in a light toned fabric

Method of construction –

Join the medium triangles into pairs ensuring that the placement is the same for all 6 sets.

Join these units to the centre section using a continuous row of stitching.

Join the remaining light toned diamonds and triangles to the outer edge, again using a continuous row of stitching.

Block 11 – June 22

You will need –

  • 6 large triangles in a dark toned fabric
  • 6 elongated honeycomb shapes in a medium toned fabric.  I have fussy cut these using a large checked fabric.

Method of construction –

Add a triangle to the side of each honeycomb shape.  Make a total of 6 of these units.

Stitch the 6 units together to form a circle.  You may find it easier to stitch into 3 sets of pairs and then join to complete the block.

Join the remaining 3 rectangles to alternate sides of the hexagon.
